It is really easy to join our club, 

just show up to a meeting and play. 

There are no membership dues.

Meetings & Events

Come join us for our regular meetings,

special events, and major tournaments.

We meet monthly 9-11 a.m. on the first Saturday at the Forest Public Library.

* This meeting will include a general orientation of the club and game. Meetings will resume to casual play in July.

We host three annual tournaments:  Bienville Chess Classic - spring

Roosevelt Chess Classic - fall 

Both are held at Alfreda-Harris Lodge at Roosevelt State Park in Morton, Miss.

United States Chess Federation Affiliation

The Scott County Chess Club is an affiliate of the U.S. Chess Federation which allows the club to host rated tournaments and related activities. The leader and coordinator is a registered club tournament director which requires re-certification every three years to retain the privilege of organizing and supervising tournaments and submitting results.

Safe Play

The Scott County Chess Club is committed to providing a safe environment for all chess players. Our club tournament director/coordinator has completed Safesport training.
